 HISTORY:

Jody has a successful history practicing in civil litigation for over thirty years. For over twenty years she has been a Barrister Sole operating from Princes Court in Auckland.  She is now based in South Waikato but is happy to travel as necessary.  She has appeared in the District Court, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Jody was admitted in 1986 and practiced as a Solicitor at Buddle Findlay, Speechly Bircham (London) and Russell McVeagh before moving to the independent bar in 1996.

 Throughout her career Jody has made several significant achievements. She authored ‘A Practitioners Guide to the Property Law Act 2007’ and Chapter 9 of Hinde McMorland & Sim, ‘Land Law’ on line and loose-leaf, and ‘Principles of Real Property Law’.

Jody is a member of the New Zealand Bar Association, the Auckland Women Lawyers Association and has been on the Faculty of the NZLS Litigation Skills programme since 2000.
